Singapore Artist Collection

The Singapore arts scene has experienced tremendous growth over the years.  Local artists have made an impact internationally.  Qua’s new “Singapore Artist Showcase” seeks to bring you these captivating masterpieces on Qua’s own featured products.

The first release of this magnificent collection features four works of the highly respected Aw Tee Hong (www.awteehong.com).  Born in 1932 in Hainan Island, Aw Tee Hong’s repertoire consist of art forms and media including acrylic, Chinese ink, watercolour and three dimensional sculptures.  Particularly well known for his capability to capture emotions of scenery in oil and acrylic, Aw has devoted much of his energy and life in recording the transformation of rapidly urbanising Singapore on canvas.  Many of Mr. Aw’s large scale sculptures and wall murals have adorned Singapore’s urban fabric. The towering “Pioneering Spirit” and “Struggle for Survival” bronze sculptures has become the icon of Raffles Place. Other major works include the polymarble mural “Epic of Singapore” at Tanjong Pagar MRT station and River Merchants at Maybank Tower
